Glam Pooch Scarf
What to knit, what to knit…I really don’t need more wool socks. I only have, at best,2 months to wear warm socks here. So, I decided to knit up the Garter Stitch Loop-Through Scarf from 101.Hmmm…well, I love the Happy Feet Sock yarn-and it also knits and feels just like Cherry Tree Hill. That’s good, right? The pattern is not so good. And before you even ask it- Yes, I did a gauge swatch. The pattern instructions tell you to knit the neck part for 16 inches. Let me tell you, I thought that was alot- and I was right. Whoever wrote the pattern either has an enormous neck, or is an enormous man. Doesn’t really matter- it doesn’t fit me, or for that matter, my very large husband. It did however, fit my fav pooch.
Also, since I have been away awhile- things have changed in WP. I have had to relearn how to link, which took me no less than 25 minutes, and I have spent over an hour trying to load a bleeping picture!!! To get a better look, click on pic. If you have any idea what I am doing wrong…please leave me a clue.
Do you write on the code side or the visual side? I write on the code side, links like this link. I’m sure there’s a link button there someplace, like the bold and italic buttons, but I haven’t played enough, and since I type like a demon, it hasn’t slowed me much. For pics, I have a flickr account. They are free (though I pay $25/yr to have unlimited space). Click on your picture, and then above the picture are some words/links. click on ‘all sizes’. When the pic comes up I usually choose medium or small. Copy the code that comes up in the box below the pic and paste it into your blog post. It comes in with the tags. I typically type target=”new” after the a, as in so that if somebody clicks on the picture it opens in a new window and you can just close the new window versus hitting the back key. Also, look into http://www.wordpress.org for support. Snowing like crazy this morning!

ooops, left a tag open, no idea it’d actually make a link, I thought it’d just be text. Crap! Go ahead and delete it…. I’ll send an email, or you send me one to remind me if what I said doesn’t make sense….
